RCS Uniform Policy
Riverhead Charter School places a high value on school climate and student success. Our mandatory student uniform policy promotes community, teamwork, responsibility, pride, respect, and safety, while fostering a sense of equity in the learning environment for all students.
It is our expectation that students meet or exceed the school dress code at all times.
Student Uniform Guidelines
- All uniforms must be clean, free from holes, and in good condition.
- Hats are not permitted to be worn inside the building.
- For safety, open-toed shoes must have a backstrap.
- Flip-flops and Crocs are not permitted.
Polo Colors by Grade Level
- K–6: Heather Gray
- 7–8: Burgundy
- 9–12: Teal
Tops
- Short sleeve or long sleeve heather gray polo shirt with logo (must be purchased on Land’s End)
- Short sleeve or long sleeve white button-down shirt
- Navy cardigan sweater
Bottoms
- Classic navy pants or classic navy shorts
- Navy skort or navy skirt
- Classic navy jumper dress
Footwear
- Sneakers (any color)
- Black dress shoes
Accessories
- Black or white socks
- Black belt
P.E. Uniforms
- Heather gray short sleeve or long sleeve t-shirt
- Gray sweatshirt
