Due to severe winter weather expected to impact Long Island and the wider New York region, Riverhead Charter School will be closed on Monday, February 23. A powerful storm system forecast to bring heavy snow, strong winds, and potentially dangerous travel conditions has prompted blizzard warnings and a state of emergency declaration for Long Island and surrounding areas.

Local and regional weather authorities are predicting significant snowfall, whiteout conditions, and hazardous road conditions throughout the storm’s peak.
